STEP 1) Measure the surface of your table top 

 

STEP 2) Home Depot sells sheets of Hardboard Thirfy White Tile Board for $12.97 and will cut the board for you to fit your unique table top. Also, purchase Scotch double sided mounting tape (diffferent size rolls cost different prices). The smallest role is available should be enough for one table top. 

 

STEP 3) Cut 3 inch strips of mounting tape and place them 12 inches apart on around the perimeter of the table top, remove the red covering to expose the sticky surface of the tape. Note: the tape will not damage the surface of your table and can be removed at anytime.   

 

STEP 4) Align the Thrifty Hardboard Sheet on top of the table and press the perimeter down firmly. If you have any warped edges slide an extra piece of tape between the table and hardboard. Press the warped board down firmly.
