Spooky Squishy Circuits
1st grade has been learning about electric circuits and how they flow. We learned that the word “circuit” is just a fancy word for a “circle.” When we talked about electric circuits, we decided that they were circles of electricity.
Once we understood what an electric circuit was, we built a full human circuit to light up a buzzing glow wand! When we let go of our hands the circuit was broken and the wand did not light up. Next, we built circuits online that included buzzers, switches, lights, wires and batteries.
Finally, we put our new knowledge to the test by creating real circuits! We engineered light up squishy circuit spiders for Halloween! They are really spooky, especially in the dark when you can only see their glowing eyes! Happy Halloween!
